His elder brother, Perone, is a wealthy and bitter figure who collaborates with a secretive and menacing faction, the Delets, to undermine the king. Perone’s actions are driven by hatred and jealousy, exacerbated by his son Rauline's connection with the royal family and particularly with Princess Arionle, King Oaugatius’s daughter.Rauline discovers the depths of his father’s deceit, he grapples with his loyalty to the king and his love for Arionle. The tension peaks during Arionle's birthday celebration, where the Delets strike a fatal blow by killing Fimov, a noble suitor of the princess, through an arrow shot. The tragedy shatters the fragile peace and ignites suspicion and rage, with the king blaming Rauline for the betrayal.Thematically, Farrier Sons explores loyalty, power, and the destructive effects of unbridled ambition within a family.
