The novel discusses about Jude, the major character, who had his divination the gods to be a destined servant to the chief priest of Isioka great Oracle and the eyes of the gods as a problem solver of his people but Ezeji, Jude’s father, rejected such divination from the gods simply because he was a devout catholic instead re-shaped son’s destiny to become the third graduate lawyer in Isioka land, however, the nemesis of the disobedience marred Jude’s ambition.
