Uplifting Wisdom

This book entitled Uplifting Wisdom: A Poetry Series on Philosophy, Love, Ecstasy, Longing, Faith and Identity, by Ghede Asrat is an enchanting collection of poems composed on a variety of topics ranging from education, books, morality and teaching ethics, love and brotherhood, common man’s hopes and aspirations, soldiers’ bravery and nationalism. In this aptly titled poetry book, Mr Ghede the poet, vents out his feelings from deep within his heart to enlighten the world with his inspiring ideals of philosophy, laymen’s love, their occasional ecstasy, their pangs of separation, their longing for family and beloveds and also for their homeland. The Eritrean struggle for independence also inspires the poet for his literary endeavor and there are quite a few poems based on this inspiring episode of the African Nation.
