Visitors to the pavilions could indulge in a variety of diversions—from drugs, to sex, to homicide—yes, even killing other human beings while risking being killed themselves. In the ‘come-as you are’ pavilions, a kind of Kamikaze amusement park, various offerings were designed to satisfy the most violent, voyeuristic, and prurient desires of those who went or were sent there. Visitors to the “come-as-you-are”pavilions could indulge in a variety of diversions—from drugs, to sex, to homicide—yes, even killing other human beings while risking being killed themselves.
