Coronavirus named COVID-19 by the World Health Organization, (WHO) has infected 10.7million people, killed 516,000 others with 5.8million recovered in just six months. There is no known drug or vaccine to treat sufferers at the time of writing. Only lockdown is been applied worldwide to slow down the spread of infection and cope with sufferers. The effect of the lockdown has been devastating socially and economically grounding most businesses and causing labour layoffs. In the US alone well over 3.3 million Americans applied for unemployment benefits and another 6.6million needed employment. It has impoverished many worldwide. The IMF and financial experts have been posting numbers which indicate the recession of an unknown type since WW2. The Asia Development Bank estimated global cost of COVID-19 pandemic to range from US$2 Trillion to US$4.1 trillion, on Friday, June 26 2020. Politically, some nations have been at each other’s throat while international travels have been suspended. Human liberty has been curtailed or downright taken away with the social distancing, What is unique and worrisome is that the vaccination will be mandatory.
